Treatment with aligners

Treatment with aligners is an orthodontic treatment with teeth straightening aligners.

Patients request treatment with aligners instead of treatment with braces, just like it is done in USA and Western Europe.

Treatment with the aligners system has improved quite significantly, when aligner material was renewed and new patented programs were created that allowed the doctor to control and plan the treatment process. There are some companies, which allows the doctor to actively take part in planning, because only the doctor knows how and where teeth should move to achieve the desired result. Other companies usually assign teeth technicians to be in charge of planning, but their experience and vision doesn‘t always match with the wishes and knowledge of the doctor.

As a doctor, this factor is incredibly important to me. It is important to be able to plan the treatment myself, and to achieve quality results.

The aligner materials are comfortable, quite soft, slim, and attach easily to teeth. These factors produce more comfort during treatment, compared to treatment with braces. Aligners can be easily removed at meal time or before brushing teeth; and can be as easily put back into place.

Obviously, this treatment method is moving fast towards digital orthodontics. In my opinion, treatment with aligners is the future of orthodontics.
